Better Angels Skills Workshop: How to Talk Across Our Differences Please join us for the Better Angels Skills Workshop to: • Learn skills to have respectful conversations with people who disagree with you. • Clarify differences • Search for common ground • Deal with the stress among family members and friends whose view differ from yours
The Better Angels Skills Workshop will help you learn how to disagree without being disagreeable. After a presentation, you will have an opportunity to practice conversation skills. You will practice in a pair with someone with a similar viewpoint.
As you know, Rotary is a neutral, non-political organization and does not endorse parties or candidates. We believe life – and our clubs- are richer with diversity of thought, culture, and yes… political leanings.
We respect the goals of Better Angels as an agent to help citizens practice listening, empathy, and appreciation for those who we disagree with.
