Rotary eClub Video – November 11, 2020 --  John Hobday - 5-Step Approach to Dementia Caregiving - The CARES Approach

Today we hear from John Hobday who will talk about being Alzheimer's Disease, prevention, and maintenance for quality of life.

John’s company, HealthCare Interactive, was founded in 1997. It is the only company in the country to have an exclusive focus on online dementia care training for organizations, individual professionals, and families. His programs are nationally award-winning, recognized by Medicare/Medicaid, and the basis for both certification and credentialing for healthcare professionals in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted livings, hospice centers, and home cares throughout the U.S. and Canada.

John’s presentation will start with some basic information about Alzheimer’s and dementia along with some preventative strategies. However, the main focus of the presentation will be sharing his 5-step approach to caregiving, the CARES Approach. This approach is easy to learn, easy to remember, and easy to use with any family member, friend, or community member who may be experiencing memory issues, symptoms of dementia, or even fully diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. This is not just a good approach for someone living with memory issues, but also caregiving for other diseases. It’s even a good approach for conflict resolution with business colleagues, family members, and even your children.
You don’t want to miss this presentation!
