Rotary eClub Video – October 21, 2020 -- Tom Gump, District Governor of 5950 - The Easy Way to Grow Your Club

A Guide on How to Recruit for and Retain Members in The Rotary Club of Cultural Exchange Enthusiasts! District 5950 Governor Tom Gump is passionate about growing Rotary membership.

Tom and his district were featured as part of the cover story in the 2020 August Membership Edition of the Rotarian magazine for the new and innovative clubs he and his district have formed. Likewise, the 2018 August Membership Edition of the Rotarian magazine featured Tom and his tips for attracting and retaining members.

This past January, Tom was one of only 20 North American Rotary leaders selected by Immediate Past President Mark Maloney and Rotary International Membership Staff to participate in the “New Club Development Summit” and was named an Innovative Club Advocate for Zone 29.

Tom was the visionary founder of the first-ever Rotary Club for Veterans in the world. He was also the co-founder of the first Rotary club in the world formed to end human trafficking. He’s now helping form similar clubs throughout the country and the world!

Tom frequently speaks about membership at club, district, multi-district, and Zone events, including as a breakout panelist at this past year’s Rotary International Convention on the topic of “Engaging Young Families with Service and Alternative Meetings.” Tom also recently appeared on Zone 33 TV – he was interviewed on the topic of forming new and innovative clubs.
