The mission of Global Minnesota is to promote international understanding and engagement. We are committed to serving Minnesota from a foundation built on the following core values: trust, collaboration, global competency, nonpartisan, intercultural communication, hospitality, and stewardship. From the 2nd grader to the CEO, Global Minnesota connects individuals, organizations, and communities to the world. Through a unique lineup of programs, Global Minnesota takes relevant and timely information on international issues, foreign policy, and cultural topics. It provides the space and opportunity for Minnesotans to engage and discuss.

We need a planet to live on!

For 4 years, some Rotarians have been educating each other about the peril of nuclear weapons and the urgent need to dismantle all of them. It is not only urgent but possible. Under President Reagan and Soviet Chairman Gorbachev dismantled 50,00 nuclear weapons. Rotarians took the lead in creating a United Nations where the first resolution of the Rotarian President of the General Assembly was to address the question of nuclear weapons. Rotarians, the world, is still working on that. Rotary has divested Rotary from nuclear weapons. Rotary can do more. We continue to educate ourselves and each other through the Rotary Satellite Club WORLD with that specific mission.

350 third graders in 8 schools and 16 classrooms received a growing prairie flower. We collaborated with Donahues GreSoil and water to provide a book and teach children about the value of pollinators. We provided fact sheets in Somali, Spanish or English so each student could take home on in the language spoken in the home.

Camp RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a fun, intensive leadership experience where high school students develop leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills. This unique experience promotes individual growth and leadership capabilities through physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual challenges. Rotary volunteers serve as counselors throughout camp. 2024 Camp RYLA takes place at Camp St. Croix in Hudson, WI, on April 19-23, 2024

This is the biggest climate bill in US history and can truly help low- and middle-income families weatherize and electrify their homes and cars. This will save energy, save money, and help protect our environment.
