White Bear Lake Rotary
White Bear Lake Rotary International Team is presenting a Global Grant to construct 3 “Oasis” projects for 3 communities located in Burkina Faso in collaboration with the Crystal Rotary Club of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and the Georgie Badiel Foundation (GBF)
The project will provide access to potable and plentiful water, sanitation and handwashing facilities and solar power for the pump, lights and phone charging for the community. There will also be space for community gardens. The project will be managed and maintained by a team of local women who will be trained by GBF to maintain the facility, collect fees for use, and provide monthly reports to the community which will be available to GBF.

Hudson Daybreak Rotary
Hudson Daybreak Rotary worked this past year on ideas on how to promote peace and enhance civility in our Rotary club as members and our community as individuals. Through moderated discussions and an active committee, we designated ourselves a Golden Rule Club.
Visit our table and learn the steps we employed, and the outcomes achieved that created a stronger path forward for peace.

Rotary Youth Exchange
North Star Rotary Youth Exchange is the program serving Rotary districts 5950 and 5960. Through this program, we typically exchange around 100 students yearly on long-term and short-term exchanges.
Human Book Check-out!
1. Attendees will be presented with a list of available “Human Books.” Each title represents a Youth Exchange Student.
2. Once a student is chosen, you can pick topics to discuss.
3. The session will last 5 -7 minutes to allow multiple visitors the opportunity to interact with different “books.”
4. The visitor and the Human Book engage in a personal conversation. This interaction is the heart of the Human Library experience.
5. After the Session, the reader “returns” the book. They may then choose to check out another book.

Rivers, Lakes, and Fields
Rivers, Lakes and Fields is an example of Clubs collaborating on events that benefit each other when we pool our resources. Northfield’s Bike Tour has been going since 1995, Stillwater’s and Prior Lakes events are 4 and 5 years in the making. Each bike tour event has become stronger and better because of the partnership we formed, while offering bikers an opportunity to participate in all three events with a discount and additional benefits.
This allows all of us to be able to support more people and organizations in D. 5960 and around the world!
We enjoy living out the 4 Way Test through this partnership. Come to our table and learn more about what we are doing and consider what other areas might work well with this model.

Owatonna Early Edition Rotary
Tanzania Furniture Project
Over 270 desks with chairs, bookcases, misc furniture, and books were specially packaged to fit securely in a 40 container. The container was loaded on October 4th in Owatonna for the journey to Tanzania. Various shipping and administrative delays finally got the container to Tanzania and the final destination where it was unloaded and placed in the schools. This is equipment that more than likely would have ended up in a landfill in southern Minnesota.

River Falls Rotary
The River Falls Rotary Club is an active and fun group. Our club focuses on youth and literacy programs. We also fund a backpack program, Jumpstart to Literacy, and participate as Rotary Readers in our four elementary schools.
We are looking forward to the Conference of Clubs so we can encourage other clubs to consider conducting a community-wide diaper/baby wipes drive, or doing a Burger Battle fundraiser.
